TEGERA® Vibration Indicator

In workplaces where vibrating tools are used, monitoring hand and arm vibration exposure is vital for safety, well-being, and EU compliance. The TEGERA Vibration Indicator provides a simple, effective solution.

GET A GRIP ON VIBRATION EXPOSURE

Effortless and Accurate Monitoring

This measuring devise provides a simple and effective way to gain information about daily vibration exposure. Serving as a warning system, it detects vibration levels in accordance with EU Directive 2002/44/EC and ISO 5349 standards. Unlike theoretical estimations based on tool data and usage guesses, our devise measures the actual vibration dosage received in the hand, providing a much more accurate assessment.

Intuitive Visual Alerts

You get clear, easy-to-understand information about your vibration exposure through green, yellow, and red lights.

  • Green: Safe to work; exposure is below the action value and within safe limits.
  • Yellow: Risk. Exposure is below the limit value but approaching the recommended daily exposure level, indicating an elevated risk.
  • Red: High risk. The daily exposure limit, as defined in the EU directive, has been reached.

Designed for Precision

Our sensor measures vibration exposure directly in the palm, which is the correct method according to standards and ensures the most accurate results. This sets it apart from other systems on the market that measure at the wrist or on the tool itself, which can be less precise.

User-Friendly and Standalone Operation

This user-friendly indicator requires no extra software, making it easy for anyone to use. Its standalone design lets you monitor your vibration exposure and focus on your work without technical hassles.

Compatible with Protective Gear

To enhance your safety and comfort, wear the indicator under your protective gloves—especially anti-vibration safety gloves like TEGERA PRO 9180A, 9181A, 9182A, and 9183. This way, you can maintain your usual safety measures while benefiting from precise vibration monitoring.

THREE OUT OF FOUR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS SHOW SYMPTOMS OF VIBRATION INJURIES

Vibration injuries are a growing problem in the construction industry. A new survey by “Byggnads” (Oct 15th, 2024) reveals that many workers are exposed to excessive levels of harmful vibrations. The results are presented in the new report Bad Vibrations – On Vibration Injuries in the Construction Industry.

The survey findings reveal that:

  • 94% use vibrating tools in their work.
  • 73% of them report symptoms that can be linked to vibration-related work. The most common symptoms are numbness and tingling in the hands, which are among the first signs of nerve damage.
  • Only 23% have been offered medical check-ups, despite employers being required to provide them. Among those who underwent such checks, 54% were diagnosed with vibration injuries or signs of vibration injuries.
