TEGERA® Arc Flash Safety Gloves

TEGERA Arc Flash gloves offer a groundbreaking solution with innovative DuPont Nomex® fibre. Designed to exceed the latest safety standards, these gloves provide superior protection against powerful Arc Flash explosions.

Optimal Hand Protection for Arc Flash Hazards

In many industrial work environments for electricians, there is a risk of Arc Flash incidents. These powerful explosions generate intense heat and fire, posing severe dangers. While protective clothing is required, hand protection is infrequently used or does not provide sufficient protection, that could result in severe burn injuries. Our new TEGERA Arc Flash safety gloves offer a breakthrough solution, providing a high level of protection on the most exposed part of the hand.

New Standard for Enhanced Safety

The newly updated standard ASTM F2675-22* significantly enhances safety. It requires gloves to withstand at least 8 cal/cm² for Arc Category Level 2, tested at the lowest protection area of the glove. For knitted and dipped gloves, only the knitted liner is tested, excluding the dipped portion and any backhand print. For cut-and-sewn gloves, the weakest “sandwich construction” is tested.

The new TEGERA 2010 Arc Flash gloves withstand up to 11 cal/cm², ensuring a high level of protection.
Arc gloves must meet Category III standards.

*ASTM F2675-23: Standard Test Method for Determining Arc Ratings of Hand Protective Products (U.S. Standard). A similar European standard is in development.

Innovative DuPont Nomex ® fibre

Our TEGERA Arc Flash safety gloves feature innovative Nomex ®, high-performance fiber renowned for its exceptional heat resistance and burn protection. Unlike many other materials, Nomex ® maintains its integrity over time, giving the gloves a long shelf life and reliable, consistent protection.

High Cut Protection Level E

In addition to providing Arc Flash protection, these protective gloves deliver advanced cut resistance (Level E). This is particularly essential when dealing with sharp-edged materials, offering an enhanced layer of safety.

Areas of Use

For all types of electrical work where Arc Flash protection is required. Suitable for electric car manufacturing and service, electrical equipment maintenance, utility work, and electrical equipment manufacturing. Not intended for situations requiring voltage protection.
