TEGERA® cut resistance gloves first in Europe with Bio-based Dyneema® Fiber

Continuous product development, in-depth materials expertise, and advanced research collaborations keep our products at the forefront of innovative safety gloves. Now releasing our updated cut resistant safety gloves TEGERA® 906 and TEGERA® 909, made with a new Bio-based Dyneema® fiber from DSM.

BIO-BASED DYNEEMA® FIBER

The TEGERA® 906 and 909 gloves are now made with a new Bio-based Dyneema® fiber from DSM. This is the first ever bio-based ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (HMPE) fiber. This innovation enables customers to reduce their carbon footprint.

The gloves’ trusted performance is of course the same as before.

CARBON DIOXIDE FOOTPRINT COMPARISION.

The table shows how much carbon dioxide is emitted for the production of 10 000 pairs of gloves similar to the TEGERA® 906 or 909. The production of gloves made from the biobased Dyneema® emits  significantly less than the production of gloves made of other fibers.

Bio-based Dyneema® has a carbon dioxide footprint reduction of up to 90% compared to generic HMPE.

 

FROM TREES TO BIO-BASED DYNEEMA® FIBER WITH DIAMOND TECHNOLOGY.

Bio-based Dyneema® fiber is made from trees, or rather a bi-product of pulp and timber industries.This process is certified by ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification).
