A New Benchmark in Safety

The TEGERA Arc Flash gloves are engineered to meet and exceed the latest safety standards, including the updated ASTM F2675-22*. This rigorous standard demands gloves to withstand at least 8 cal/cm2, measured at the least protective area of the glove, ensuring they provide robust protection in the event of an Arc Flash. The TEGERA 2010 Arc Flash gloves go above and beyond, offering protection up to 11 cal/cm2, making them an indispensable tool for any high-risk work environment.

What Is an Arc Flash, and Why Is Protection Essential?

An arc flash is a sudden, intense release of energy caused by an electrical fault, where an electric current escapes its intended path and travels through the air between conductors or to the ground. This triggers an explosion of heat, light, and pressure, posing serious risks such as severe burns, injuries, and even fatalities.

At the heart of these gloves is the innovative Nomex ® fibre from DuPont, known for its exceptional heat resistance and durability. *The ASTM F2675-22 is a Standard Test Method for Determining Arc Ratings of Hand Protective Products Developed and Used for Electrical Arc Flash Protection. A European standard is under development, and this US testing procedure will be incorporated into the European standard.
